Probolinggo, The Third Youth English Speech Contest (YESCO), a premier annual competition aimed at empowering high school students to showcase their English-speaking excellence, reached an exciting conclusion today with its offline final round.

Hosted by the Central Language Studies of Hafshawaty Zainul Hasan University, the event carried the inspiring theme ” From Classroom to Marketplace: What Indonesian Teens Can Do Today for a Stronger Economy Tomorrow.”

After an intense series of online selections, the top ten finalists advanced to the on-site finals in Probolinggo, captivating judges and audiences alike with their thought-provoking speeches envisioning a prosperous Indonesia.

Participants were evaluated on
content and structure, language use, delivery style, creativity and originality, as well as emotional impact . The competition showcased not only linguistic mastery but also the students’ insight into how young people can contribute to national development.

After a closely contested round, the winners were announced as follows:

As the curtain falls on this year’s YESCO, organizers hope the competition will continue to inspire more Indonesian youth to think globally, act locally, and speak confidently for a brighter economic future.(bhj)
